Delete your Bar Goggles account
You can request deletion of your Bar Goggles account and associated personal data at any time. Follow the steps below.
How to Request Deletion
Email support@bargogglesapp.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".
Include your account email address, your bar name if you are a bar owner, and any details that help us identify your account.
We will verify your identity, confirm the request, and complete deletion within 30 days. We will email you when it is done.
What Gets Deleted
Upon a verified deletion request, we will delete:
- Your account credentials and authentication record
- Your owner profile and associated bar owner data
- Friend group memberships and location sharing preferences
- Reviews and ratings you submitted
- Chat messages you posted
- Favorites and personal app preferences
- Any other personal data linked to your account that is not subject to a retention obligation
What May Be Retained
Some records may be kept where required or permitted by law, including:
- Billing, payment, and tax records required for legal or financial compliance
- Records needed to resolve disputes or enforce agreements
- Fraud prevention and security records
- Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot identify you
- Backup copies, which are purged on a rolling schedule
Bar Owner Accounts
Deleting your owner account will remove your access to the Bar Goggles Owner Portal and any owner-managed bar profile updates. Your bar listing may remain visible on the app until it is reviewed. If you would also like the bar listing removed, note that in your deletion request.
